Brunch With Employers

Brunch with Employers leverages the presence of recruiters coming to campus for a career fair to create a series of high touch, low stress opportunities for students from traditionally underserved communities to engage in conversations in a less formal, more welcoming environment. These small-scale events typically include 25-30 students and 5-6 recruiters seated around tables talking and eating together. Students are recruited through collaborations with 2-3 affinity-based campus partners.

Each academic year, Berkeley Career Engagement (BCE) hosts an average of nine Brunch with Employers events, providing valuable opportunities for approximately 250 underrepresented students to engage with a diverse range of employers recruiting on campus. In 2024–2025, BCE collaborated with 20 campus departments and 40 employers to bring these events to life and expand access to meaningful career connections.

What does it mean to partner with Berkeley Career Engagement on this event?
Participating as a campus partner is easy and hassle-free. We'll provide you with a ready-to-send email and a registration form to share with your students. By confirming your participation, you're simply agreeing to help spread the word within your organization.

To keep things simple for everyone, we manage RSVPs through a centralized form. We typically collaborate with 2–3 campus organizations per event to maximize impact and ensure a smooth experience for students.
If I am an employer that's interested in participating, how can I get involved?
This is a free event for employers! To participate, employers must be registered for the Career Fair taking place on the same day as the pre-fair brunch. Details and sign-up information will be shared via email with all registered employers 2–3 weeks prior to the event.
When, and where are these events typically hosted?
These events are held at Berkeley Career Engagement (2440 Bancroft Way), conveniently located less than a five-minute walk from all on-campus Career Fair venues. Each event typically lasts around 90 minutes and is scheduled to end about an hour before the Career Fair begins, giving recruiters time to transition and prepare. While most events take place in the morning, exact start times may vary depending on the timing of each Career Fair.
